Russians kill a volunteer in Kherson region

On Sunday, December 1, volunteer Rimma Baranenko was killed in Kherson. She was among the passengers of a bus on which Russian terrorists dropped explosives from a drone in the morning.‍

According to the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration , Oleksandr Prokudin, he personally knew Rimma for more than 10 years and collaborated with her on various projects.

"She was a very bright person with an active life position, always ready to help," the official added.

The Kherson activist defended Ukraine's freedom on the Maidan in 2013, she withstood the occupation of the city and, as her friends recall, was very happy to see Kherson liberated. She helped to get a building for people who did not have housing in Kherson and with her help developed the "Nadiya" center for the homeless in Kherson.

Around 8:15 a.m. on December 1, Russian military personnel attacked a minibus in the Dniprovsky district of Kherson with a UAV. So far, it is known that three people were injured beyond life support - two women aged 68 and 48, and a 55-year-old man. Six residents of Kherson were diagnosed with mine-blast injuries. A 56-year-old woman sustained shrapnel wounds to her head, arm and legs. Another 70-year-old resident suffered a fractured tibia.

The occupants also attacked another bus in the village of Inzhenerne , Kherson district, with a drone. Two people were injured.‍ At least 11 civilian objects were damaged, including private and apartment buildings, cars, two buses, etc.

Under the procedural guidance of the Kherson District Prosecutor 's Office, a pre-trial investigation into the commission of a war crime involving intentional homicide has been launched.

The Russians killed two people and wounded 15 others yesterday, on November 30, while shelling Kherson region with artillery, mortars and drones. In the morning, the occupiers attacked a minibus in Kherson district and wounded four people. A drone struck the bus, causing four civilians to sustain injuries of varying severity. The injured were taken to hospital for medical care. At around 11:15, Russian troops attacked a bus stop in Antonivka. As a result of the shelling, a man and a woman were killed, another civilian was wounded and hospitalized.
