Russian shelling in Kherson region leaves one civilian dead and seven wounded

In Kherson region, Antonivka, Mykhailivka, Sadove, Stanislav, Beryslav, Bilozerka, Blahovishchenske, Vesele, Dudchany, Tomyna Balka, Komyshany, Tokarivka, Tyahyntsi, Novotyahyntsi, Prydniprovske, Chervonyi Mayak and the city of Kherson came under enemy fire and air strikes by the Russian occupation army on August 25.

This was announced by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin.

The official said that during the shelling, the Russian occupiers hit an educational institution, an administrative building and a bakery; residential areas of the region's settlements, including 15 private houses. The occupiers also damaged outbuildings and private cars.

As a result of Russian aggression in the right-bank part of Kherson region, one civilian was killed and seven others were injured. In Kherson, Russian troops dropped explosives from a UAV on a car. A man sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the enemy strike. In addition, a local resident was injured in the Dniprovsky district of Kherson as a result of a Russian drone attack. Around 16:00, a 68-year-old woman was hit by an enemy UAV. She sustained a shrapnel wound to her leg. Around 17:30, a 44-year-old man was injured by a Russian drone in Kherson. He received an explosive injury and a shrapnel wound to his arm. The victim was hospitalized. A 21-year-old man was also injured in the attack and taken to a medical facility by an ambulance. Doctors diagnosed him with explosive and open head injuries, as well as a brain coma.

Earlier it was reported that on August 22, during the shelling, the Russian occupiers hit an educational institution and a store; residential areas of the region's settlements, including five high-rise buildings and nine private houses. The occupiers also damaged a gas pipeline and agricultural machinery. According to Prokudin, two people were killed and five others were injured in the region that day as a result of Russian aggression.
