Russian Shelling in Kherson Injures Residents and Destroys Homes

On the morning of February 13, Russian troops shelled a residential sector in the central district of Kherson. A shell hit a high-rise building.

According to Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, one of the enemy shells hit a multi-storey building. A 48-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman were wounded in the attack.

The victims were diagnosed with mine-blast injuries and shrapnel wounds. The man was hospitalized in moderate condition, and the woman will undergo outpatient treatment.

According to the administration, dozens of settlements in Kherson region, including the regional center, came under enemy fire and air strikes over the past day.

The attacks hit Beryslav, Tyahynka, Mylove, Chervonyi Mayak, Tomaryne, Novovorontsovka, Stanislav, Shyroka Balka, Sofiyivka, Mykilske, Poniativka, Prydniprovske, Antonivka, Sadove, Komyshany, Bilozerka, Inzhenerne, Osokorivka, Gavrylivka, Burgunka, Vesele, Kachkarivka, Kozatske, Lvov, Mykolayivka, Mykhaylivka, Naddnipryanske, Novoberislav, Novooleksandrivka, Novotyanka, Olgivka, Rozlyv, Sablukivka, Tokarivka, Ukrainka and Kherson.

Residential areas and social infrastructure facilities were affected by the shelling. The occupants damaged two multi-storey buildings, 12 private houses, a warehouse, and several civilian vehicles.

"One person was killed and eight others were injured as a result of Russian aggression," the statement said.

In addition, at night, Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed one Shahed-131/136 attack drone that tried to attack the region.

On February 12, the invaders attacked a civilian car with a drone in the Korabelny district of Kherson, injuring a 24-year-old man. He sustained explosive and craniocerebral injuries, contusion and a shrapnel wound to his arm, the Kherson MVA reported.
