Russian Shelling Damages Homes and Infrastructure in Kherson, 8

Russian troops shelled residential areas and social facilities, damaging high-rise buildings, private houses, a gas pipeline and outbuildings. Civilians were injured as a result of the attacks.

This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin.

From April 27 to April 28, 2025, the Russian army continuously shelled Kherson and surrounding communities. Stanislav, Kostyrka, Komyshany, Prydniprovske, Dudchany, Lvov, Oleksandrivka, Tyahyntsi and Shyroka Balka were attacked by drones, artillery and aircraft.

The enemy targeted residential areas and social infrastructure facilities: 4 high-rise buildings and 17 private houses were damaged. A gas pipeline, outbuildings and garages were also destroyed.

Five civilians were injured as a result of the Russian aggression.

As a result of the attacks on April 24-25, three high-rise buildings, 15 private houses, a gas pipeline, a garage and several cars were damaged. Two people were killed and three others were injured.

On April 26-27, Russian shelling destroyed six private houses, an outbuilding and several cars. One person was killed and five others were injured in the attacks.

Separately, on the morning of April 27, Russian aircraft struck Kherson. Two high-rise buildings, a private house and a medical facility were damaged. An 82-year-old woman was hospitalized with a mine-blast injury as a result of the strike.

On April 26, Russian attacks damaged an apartment building and 12 private houses in Kherson region, as well as an outbuilding, several garages and cars. Two people were killed.

The day before, from April 24 to 25, more than two dozen settlements in the region came under shelling and air strikes, destroying three apartment buildings, 15 private houses, a gas pipeline, a garage and several cars. The attacks killed two people and injured three others.

A network of training centers for national resistance is being created in Ukraine - such centers will be opened in Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions. Civilians will be trained for national resistance by veterans who will become instructors after special training and certification at military universities. The standard training program will be approved by the Territorial Defense Forces.
