A Russian military officer personally interrogated illegally imprisoned Kherson residents and tortured them.

According to the Kherson regional prosecutor's office, during the occupation of Kherson, Russian military seized a local temporary detention center. Civilians were held there and abused in an attempt to force them to provide information.

An employee of the FSB regional office in the Tyumen region personally interrogated at least five civilians. During the interrogations, the prisoners were beaten, subjected to electric shocks, and forced to undress. People were held in inhumane conditions - without access to food, water, and unsanitary conditions. The law enforcement officer acted to force the detainees to confess to collaborating with the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

Under the procedural supervision of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, an indictment against the FSB officer was sent to court. He is accused of cruel treatment of civilians, violation of the laws and customs of war and giving orders for such actions.

Earlier, law enforcement officers submitted to the court an indictment against 11 Russian police officers who, during the occupation of Kherson, ensured the operation of the city's largest torture chamber. The occupation temporary detention center held illegally imp risoned civilians from Kherson, who were subjected to physical and psychological violence, electric shocks and other forms of torture. At the same time, one of the Russian "law enforcement officers" also became an accomplice in the premeditated murder of an illegally imprisoned man.

Law enforcement officers also identified an employee of the Russian Interior Ministry who interrogated and tortured a resident of Kherson during the occupation. The police officer first hit the illegally imprisoned man 30 times on the body with a rubber baton, then picked up a grinder and threatened to cut off his fingers and hands. After that, to intimidate the victim, the offender pointed a gun at him and simulated shooting him. Finally, the Russian attacker inflicted at least 15 more blows with a rubber baton and sent the man to the cell.
