Russian drone strike on Odesa hotel cost the environment 22 million

State environmental inspectors of the Southwestern District have reported the results of calculating the damage caused to the city's environment by drone strikes on the territory at 168-B Mykolaivska Road.

According to the inspectorate's press service , the total amount of environmental damage caused by the land contamination amounted to UAH 22.8 million.

The total area of the contaminated territory was 200 square meters. The collected materials and calculation results were submitted to the Operational Headquarters of the State Environmental Inspectorate of Ukraine for inclusion in the unified register of environmental damage caused by armed aggression.

The Pavlovy House hotel complex is located at 168-B Mykolaivska Road in Odesa. After the hit, the owners of the hotel reconstructed it.

The shelling of this area occurred on October 11, 2025. The attack damaged power equipment, two residential buildings and a hotel building. One casualty is known - a 47-year-old woman who was taken to the hospital. As a result of the attacks, fires broke out in the power infrastructure and a three-story building of the hotel and restaurant complex. Firefighters rescued two people and extinguished the fire. On the night of October 11, 2025, the air defense of southern Ukraine shot down or suppressed 27 Shahed and Gerber attack UAVs (other types of drones) in Odesa region. One of the drones, according to eyewitnesses, flew into an apartment in a residential complex and did not explode. The munition was removed by sappers.

According to DTEK Odesa Power Grids, on the night of October 11, 2025, Odesa region suffered another enemy attack, which left 317,000 families without electricity.
