Russian drone relay stations were hit in Crimea and the Kherson region

On September 12 and during the night of September 13, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of key military targets belonging to the Russian occupiers. In particular, ground-based relay stations used to control the “Geran” and “Gerbera” attack drones were struck in the Kherson region and in occupied Crimea.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the General Staff, the relay stations were struck in the areas of Zalizny Port and Skadovsk in the Kherson region, as well as in Chornomorsk and Olenivka in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

In Olenivka, an antenna complex belonging to Russian forces was also destroyed.

Such relay stations are used to control attack UAVs, specifically the “Geran” and “Gerbera” types.

In addition to targets in the south, the Ukrainian military struck a facility in Donetsk used for storing, preparing, and launching enemy attack drones.

Also, on the night of September 13, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the “Slavyansky” oil refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban, Krasnodar Krai, Russian Federation. A fire was reported on the refinery’s premises.

According to the General Staff, “Slavyansky” is one of the largest independent oil refineries in southern Russia. Its refining capacity is approximately 5.2 million metric tons of crude oil per year. The facility produces, among other things, automotive gasoline, fuel oil, vacuum gas oil, and jet fuel, and is involved in meeting the needs of Russian troops.

Another strike targeted the "TANECO" oil refinery in Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan. A fire was reported in one of the tanks there.

In addition, in Millerovo, Rostov Oblast, Russia, a facility used for the storage, preparation, and launch of enemy strike UAVs was struck.

The General Staff also provided an update on the consequences of the previous strike. Specifically, on September 11, at the Saratov Oil Refinery in Saratov, the ELZU-AVT-6 primary oil refining unit and a section of the main pipeline were damaged.

The General Staff stated that operations against key military targets of the Russian aggressor are ongoing.
