Russian drone hits a ship sailing to Chornomorsk in the open sea

On the morning of April 14, Russian troops attacked the civilian ship Lady Maris with attack drones as it was heading to the port of Chornomorsk in Odesa Oblast to load Ukrainian corn.

According to the Navy Command, the attack caused a fire, but the crew was not injured.

A Ukrainian Navy boat promptly arrived at the scene to provide assistance.

"The Russian Federation continues to pose threats to navigation in the Black Sea and undermine global food security," the command said.

The Lady Maris is a bulk carrier flying the Liberian flag.
