On the night of February 20, Russian troops attacked Kherson with guided aerial bombs. The attack killed a woman, the mother of 13-year-old twins. Rescuers searched for her under the rubble for almost a day.

According to Roman Mrochko, the head of Kherson MVA, the children are currently under the care of doctors and social workers. After the shelling, they were hospitalized with mine-blast injuries and a severe stress reaction.

According to Mrochko, the teenagers are being provided with the necessary assistance by hospital psychologists and representatives of the Kherson Regional Center "Successful Woman" NGO. The Department of Education provided them with electronic devices for learning, and thanks to the charity organization Boca Helps Ukraine, they will receive tablets. Together with psychologists, the children choose the things they need.

We also managed to contact their father, who is a citizen of another country and is abroad. He needs to draw up the relevant documents, and in the meantime, the children will be taken care of by their deceased mother's sister.

To support the children in this difficult period, the city authorities have provided them with a one-time financial assistance of UAH 100,000. In addition, the Kherson City Council decided that the guardians of children whose parents have been killed by Russian attacks since the start of the full-scale invasion will receive a monthly allowance of UAH 10,000 for each child until they reach the age of 18.

On February 20, the body of a 47-year-old woman was found under the rubble of a house in Kherson. She was the mother of wounded twins who had been rescued from the rubble the day before.

On the night of February 20, Kherson was shaken by a powerful explosion - a Russian guided aerial bomb hit a ten-story building. The strike completely destroyed 15 apartments in the building, from the first to the tenth floor. Windows in 80 other apartments were smashed.

A Ukrposhta vehicle en route to Stanislav and a sorting center in Kherson also came under fire.
