Border guards of the Podilskyi Detachment of the State Border Guard Service detained a resident of Odesa region in a village of Rozdilnyanskyi district.

According to the border guards, they received operational information about the preparation of the man's illegal transportation abroad and stopped the car on July 18.

In the car, they found a 24-year-old resident of Kharkiv region hidden between the luggage compartment and the rear seats. Border guards drew up a report of an administrative offense against him under Article 204-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Ukraine "Illegal crossing or attempt to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine." The case was sent to court.

The vehicle was driven by a local resident, and the passenger was a 23-year-old resident of Odesa region, who is currently suspected of assisting the organizer of illegal transportation of a person across the border

The operatives established that the resident of Kharkiv region had planned his illegal trip to Moldova in advance with the administrator of a telegram channel. The latter estimated the transportation at USD 8 thousand, of which USD 2 thousand was transferred as a deposit in cryptocurrency.

Law enforcement officers seized the woman's cell phone and the driver's car.

The woman was detained and served a notice of suspicion of committing a crime under Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine "Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine". The court imposed on her a measure of restraint in the form of house arrest.

If found guilty, the woman faces three to seven years in prison.

Meanwhile, journalists found out that the organizers of schemes to smuggle men of military age across the border to the occupied territory of Moldovan Transnistria not only help evade mobilization, but also hand over Ukrainians to the Russian-controlled special service "PMR".
