The court sentenced a resident of the village of Stanislav, Kherson region, who voluntarily cooperated with the Russian occupiers. The woman was found guilty of collaboration, as she took the position of the occupying head of the community.

The verdict was published in the Unified State Register of Court Decisions.

The court proved that Oksana Ivanko deliberately cooperated with the occupiers in August 2022, taking the illegal position of community head. In this position, she was in charge of ensuring the operation of utilities, employment of local residents and payment of salaries in Russian rubles, and forced local businesses to re-register under Russian law.

In addition, the collaborator became the head of the so-called 'PEC' (precinct election commission) for the illegal 'referendum'. She was responsible for recruiting members, organizing rounds of voting among Stanislav residents, keeping records of participants and providing ballots. After the illegal process was completed, Ivanko personally delivered the completed ballots to the so-called 'TEC' in Bilozerka.

As a reminder, Ivanko received suspicions for holding an illegal position and for holding a pseudo-referendum in 2023. She currently faces up to 10 years in prison with confiscation ofproperty.

Earlier, the Kherson City Court found Mykola Strynadko, who worked in an illegal detention center created by the occupation authorities in Kherson region, guilty of collaboration.

The investigation found that in July 2022, Strynadka took a position in the occupation Dariivka Correctional Colony No. 10, and later became the next assistant head of the Detention Center No. 1 of the occupation penitentiary service in Kherson region.

Testimonies confirm that he not only controlled the access control and the daily routine of detainees, but also participated in cell searches and torture of prisoners. One witness said that he saw Strynadko in an occupation uniform with a baton, handcuffs and a gas canister, and heard him boast about his good salary and excellent working conditions.
