A resident of the region is suspected of taking a position in the illegal "Department of Industry and Trade" and forcing Kherson enterprises to re-register with the occupation "tax office".

This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The post says that under the procedural guidance of the Kherson District Prosecutor's Office, the resident of the region was notified in absentia of suspicion of collaboration (Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, the 50-year-old suspect, having agreed to cooperate with the enemy, in June 2022 took the position of the so-called "Deputy Head of the Department of Industry and Trade" in the occupation administration of Kherson region. It is noted that in this position, on behalf of the illegal authority, the man developed and implemented a strategy for the development of the industrial complex, trade, catering and consumer services. The suspect was in charge of saturating the market with consumer goods, including processed products. He also implemented the orders of the occupation administration to re-register local enterprises in the so-called "Kherson Tax Service" to receive taxes to the budget of the aggressor country.

The pre-trial investigation is being carried out by investigators of the Main Department of the National Police in Kherson region.

Earlier it was reported that the Security Service of Ukraine detained another collaborator who cooperated with the occupiers during the temporary seizure of Kherson. The suspect was a secretary of a department of the city court. At the beginning of the full-scale war, the 39-year-old woman worked as a penitentiary inspector at a local penitentiary institution.

In Kherson region, 10 local residents who held senior positions in the occupation tax service were also suspected.
