The Mykolaiv Prosecutor's Office is seeking to invalidate additional agreements on the extension of the deadlines for the repair of shelters in the city, as well as residential buildings destroyed as a result of Russian aggression, and to recover penalties from the contractors for the delayed work.

This was reported by the Mykolaiv Prosecutor's Office.

In June of this year, the prosecutor's office filed 5 such claims for a total of UAH 2.2 million.

The grounds for initiating the case were the deadlines for completing work under the contracts, which violated the applicable laws.

Due to the contractor's delay in meeting these deadlines, the responsibility for the lives and protection of civilians in Mykolaiv falls on local authorities.

The prosecutor's office also noted a violation of the principles of maximum economy and efficiency in the use of budget funds, which remained unaddressed by the authorities.

The proceedings are ongoing.

We also wrote earlier thata winner was selected in Mykolaiv regionto build a shelter for a lyceum, but later it turned out that the contract with this contractor had already been terminated.

Similarly, in July last year, there were reports of alleged overpayments in the construction of a shelter for the Prybuzkyi lyceum. After an audit and a complaint from Dozorro, the procuring entity canceled the procurement.

Our journalists also wrote about how much corrupt schemes usually "earn" on rebuilding architecture during the war.

Our website investigated the estimated bills for the restoration of residential high-rise buildings in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions.

In today's realities, every thousand, not to mention millions, is an extra drone, an EW radar, a car for the front.
