Previous head of Khadzhybey district administration in Odesa returned to his post

Odesa Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov has appointed Yevhen Omelchuk as acting head of the Khadzhibey district administration of Odesa.

The relevant order was published by the press service of the municipality.

Yevhen Omelchuk was transferred to the position of first deputy head of the administration after Serhiy Pidhainyi was appointed as its head, but resigned after a week.

In February 2002, Yevhen Omelchuk graduated from the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine in absentia and received a master's degree in public administration. Since 1995, he has worked in the seafarers' trade union movement. He first became the chairman of the first independent seafarers' trade union of Ukraine, and in 2000 was elected Secretary General of the Federation of Trade Unions of Water Transport and Seafarers of Ukraine.

In 2006, he became the first secretary of the then Suvorov District Committee of the Socialist Party of Ukraine in Odesa and was elected a member of the city council from this political force.

In 2010, he was elected to the city council from the Party of Regions. In April 2013, he was appointed the head of the Malynovska, and after renaming it the Khadzhybeyska district administration.

According to his declaration for 2024, the official owns a house, a land plot and an apartment in Odesa. He also owns a 2007 Toyota Avalon. Among his income, he declared his salary as the head of the administration at the time of 626 thousand 632 hryvnias, his wife's salary in the municipal institution "Center for Financing and Economic Activity of Institutions and Institutions of the Education System of Khadzhibey District" - 253 thousand 964 hryvnias and a municipal allowance from the same institution - 42.6 thousand hryvnias. Savings - 18 thousand dollars in cash.
