President awarded specialists from Odesa, Kherson and Mykolaiv on the occasion of Unity Day

On Unity Day, the President awarded Ukrainians from Odesa, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions for their courage, professionalism and contribution to culture, medicine, education, science and sports. The honorees include doctors, actors, scientists and athletes who work for the development of the regions.

This is evidenced by a decree issued by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

On the occasion of the Day of Unity of Ukraine, the President awarded state awards to Ukrainians who strengthen the state, develop society and demonstrate their dedication to the profession every day.

The Order of Princess Olha of the III degree was awarded to actress and leading stage master of the Kherson Regional Theater Tetiana Provorova for outstanding achievements in the field of culture and art.

The medal "For Saved Life" was awarded to Dr. Maryna Shramkova, who works at the Kherson Regional Center for Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine and saves lives in the most difficult situations.

The medal "For Labor and Victory" was awarded to Maria Dumailenko, a senior nurse at an Odesa outpatient clinic, and to power engineers Ruslan Lobanov, chief engineer, and Mykola Polyakov, head of the Izmail section of DTEK Odesa Power Grids, who work diligently to ensure the safety and stability of energy supply.

The state recognized scientist Oleksandr Trigub, a professor at Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University, who was awarded the title of Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine for his contribution to the development of education and science.

Among the medical professionals, the honorary title of Honored Doctor of Ukraine was awarded to Olena Korolenko, head of the Kherson Regional Clinical Hospital, and Dmytro Sereda and Vadym Stoyev, head and doctor of the Odesa City Clinical Hospital No. 11.

In the education sector, Iryna Zhorova, acting rector of the Kherson Academy of Continuing Education, was awarded the title of Honored Education Worker of Ukraine for her contribution to personnel training and development of the educational process.

Honorary titles in the field of sports were awarded to Svitlana Yevenko, state coach of the Ukrainian rhythmic gymnastics team, and Mykhailo Nikolayev, head of the Youth and Sports Department of Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, who are raising new generations of athletes.

As stated in the decree, these awards recognize the courage, professionalism and dedication of people who contribute to the development of culture, medicine, science, education and sports in Ukraine on a daily basis.

At the beginning of 2026, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded state awards to residents of Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions for their professionalism, courage and contribution to public life under martial law.
