On the night of November 2, explosions were heard in several areas of occupied Crimea; Russian air defenses were activated, and air raid alerts were issued. Following this, part of the peninsula was left without power. Traffic across the Kerch Bridge was blocked for more than seven hours.
This was reported by Krym.Realii, citing monitoring Telegram channels.
According to local residents, explosions and air defense missile launches continued throughout much of the night in Sevastopol and Kerch.
Around 3:00 a.m., power went out in Simferopol, Sevastopol, and Kerch. Pro-Russian Telegram channels confirmed the outages and reported a “major accident on a high-voltage power line.”
Subsequently, reports of widespread power outages began coming in from Simferopol, the Simferopol District, Alushta, Yevpatoria, Saki, Feodosia, and other settlements.
The occupying authorities have not yet specified the extent of the damage to the energy infrastructure or the areas where power has been restored.
The occupation head of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev, stated that an air raid alert was declared in the city overnight. Sources at Krym.Realii also reported power outages in several districts of Sevastopol.
“Crimean Circuit Breaker Off” is a special large-scale operation conducted by the Unmanned Systems Forces (USF) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under the command of Major Robert Brovdi (call sign “Madyar”). As part of the operation, the UAS systematically strike the enemy’s critical energy infrastructure (power substations, gas distribution stations, gas turbine plants, etc.) in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine (specifically in Crimea, in the south and east of the country) and on the territory of the Russian Federation.
