Server Zekiryayev , convicted in the case of Crimean Muslims, is being tortured in the Tula penal colony No. 1 in Russia.

His wife Zarema Zekiryayeva told about it, calling on the international community to stop the abuse of her husband.

According to her, her husband is breathing strong gases from the camp's sewer system around the clock.

"He suffers the most at night. He doesn't sleep for four days on a regular basis: his cervical lymph nodes are aggressive, he suffocates because of the stench and lack of oxygen. He is already nervously and physically exhausted," Zarema wrote.

She also reported that on June 11, 2024, Zekiryayev refused to enter the cell and asked for normal conditions of detention. After such a request, according to the woman, a squad of Russian security forces was called to him and began to intimidate him.

"On July 9, 2024, he started shouting at the whole cell saying 'why are you torturing me', but the staff shrugged and said 'we don't know', or 'pray, we can't help you'," Zarema said.

In response to Zarema's complaints to various Russian authorities, Russian officials wrote back that"Server is doing well and the conditions of detention are quite acceptable for staying there."

On October 12, 2017, officers of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation detained and subsequently arrested Timur Ibragimov, Marlen (Suleiman) Asanov, Memet Belialov, Seiran Saliev, Server Zekiryayev and Ernes Ametov. All of them are members of the Crimean Solidarity organization, an association of lawyers, relatives of political prisoners and activists that helps Crimeans who have been persecuted for political or religious reasons. Server Zekiryayev was sentenced to 13 years in a strict regime colony.

Also, Serhiy Tsygipa, a volunteer from Nova Kakhovka, who was abducted by Russian special services and illegally convicted by the "Supreme Court of Crimea" for allegedly "spying," is being forced by the administration of a maximum security penal colony in the Ryazan region to take Russian citizenship.
