Parts of Odesa and its suburbs lost power on the afternoon of July 31. At the same time, residents reported that water had stopped running from their taps.

According to DTEK “Odesa Power Grids,” an emergency equipment shutdown occurred at 2:42 p.m. on July 31. Consumers in part of the Odesa region were temporarily left without power.

Utility workers are already working to fix the malfunction as quickly as possible and restore power to every home.

The press service of “Infoksvodokanal” reported that due to the power outage, water supply to the Primorsky and Khadzhibey districts of Odesa has been temporarily suspended.

It is noted that the emergency power outage also cut off power to some “Infoksvodokanal” facilities and their existing backup power sources. A temporary drop in water pressure is possible in the Peresyp and Kyiv districts.

The company promised to restore water service as soon as utility workers resolve the outage and power is restored, and apologized for the temporary inconvenience caused by circumstances beyond the branch’s control.
