Over 16 million allocated for fire safety in Odesa schools

Odesa has announced a search for contractors to maintain fire safety systems in educational institutions of two districts - Prymorskyi and Kyivskyi.

Municipal institutions "Centers for Financing and Economic Activities of Educational Institutions" in both districts plan to hold auctions to select companies that will provide maintenance of fire alarm systems, evacuation management, centralized fire surveillance and automatic fire extinguishing in schools and kindergartens.

The expected cost of services for educational institutions in Prymorskyi district is UAH 8.664 million, and the auction is scheduled for January 15 in the format of an open tender with special conditions.

In the Kyiv district, UAH 7.6 million is planned to be spent on similar services, and the auction will take place on January 16.

Tender organizers are looking for companies that can provide a reliable level of security in educational institutions by the end of 2025.

Earlier, the Center for Financing and Economic Activity of Educational Institutions of the Khadzhibeysky District of Odesa announced a procurement to find a company that will be paid for the maintenance of fire alarm systems in schools and kindergartens. The expected cost is UAH 6.2 million.

Open bidding with special features means that almost all terms are shorter than in open bidding under the Law on Public Procurement. This means that this procurement is much faster than open tenders.

The period for submitting proposals is seven calendar days, and the period for challenging qualifications is five calendar days. Often, there is no auction during such tenders, so the participant has no competitors.
