A deputy of the Askania-Nova village council from the OPFL was notified in absentia of suspicion of collaboration for working in the occupation administration.

This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.

According to the investigation, in March 2024, a 65-year-old man in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region took the position of the so-called "head of the territorial department of the Askania-Nova administration of the Chaplynka municipal district" and held it until November 2025.

The prosecutor's office notes that in this position, he actually managed the communal sphere of the community, made proposals for the use of land plots for the implementation of so-called "investment projects" and held personal receptions of citizens.

In addition, according to the investigation, he contributed to the spread of Russian information influence in the occupied territory, in particular, he ensured the operation of a satellite operator with propaganda TV channels in its service package.

The defendant also held meetings with representatives of the occupation authorities and participated in public events aimed at forming a loyal attitude of the population to the aggressor state.

Earlier, the former Odesa official, who was previously associated with Roman Nalyvanyi's apartment scams, was convicted in absentia for collaboration. The court found that after the start of the full-scale invasion in 2022, Nalyvanyi headed the illegally created so-called housing office in the Suvorov district of Kherson. According to eyewitnesses, the newly appointed head demanded that employees obtain Russian passports and open accounts in Russian banks, promising stable work and salaries in return.
