One of the underground hospitals in Kherson region worth 19 million is almost complete

The arrangement of one underground hospital in Kherson, for which UAH 19 million was spent, is at the stage of completion.

According to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Medical Association, an underground hospital with operating and intensive care units, intensive care units, a manipulation room, a laboratory, a warehouse of medicines and the necessary medical equipment was equipped in one of the city's medical institutions.

"Construction work began here 4 months ago, and today we have completed the overhaul of the 560-square-meter premises," the official said.

The storage facility also has an internal generator, electricity and water supply, and a fire extinguishing system. All conditions have been created for the hospital's uninterrupted operation. The entrance to the underground medical facility is equipped with electric lifts for unimpeded access for people with disabilities and other people with limited mobility.

"I would like to note that almost UAH 13.3 million of state funds and UAH 5.7 million of regional funds have already been spent on the construction of the hospital," said Prokudin.

He also added that two other large projects are being implemented in the city - an "underground hospital" and a perinatal center. The construction cost of all three is more than UAH 186 million.

Medical facilities in the Kherson region have repeatedly come under attack by the Russian occupation forces. Therefore, the region is doing everything to save lives.

Earlier, the Novovorontsov community in Kherson Oblast equipped a modern shelter in the hospital. Intent has already written that one of the hospitals in Kherson has also completed repairs, installed the necessary medical equipment, and now the premises are fully ready to receive patients.

Also, a bomb shelter in one of Kherson's medical institutions was restored and re-equipped to provide medical services.
