Oleh Todoschak Among Ukraine's Highest-Paid Rectors With ₴ 633.1K Salary

Rector of the National University "Odesa Law Academy" Oleh Todoshchak is among the richest university rectors in Ukraine, according to an analysis of university leaders' declarations. Todoschak's annual salary in 2024 amounted to UAH 633.1 thousand.

This was reported by the journalists of the Slovo and Dilo publication.

The former rector of Lviv Polytechnic Yuriy Bobalo, who declared UAH 1.7 million in salary for 2024, was ranked first among the rectors with the highest salaries. His income is the highest among the rectors of the twenty most popular universities in Ukraine.

The Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, which ranks first in popularity among applicants, was also not left out: the acting rector of this university, Volodymyr Melnyk, declared UAH 1 million 236 thousand for the year.

Other rectors included in the ranking also have significant incomes. For example, the acting rector of Grinchenko University in Kyiv, Oleksandr Turuntsev, earned UAH 1 million 202 thousand, and the rector of Uzhhorod National University, Volodymyr Smolanka, received UAH 911.9 thousand.

Intent analyzed Oleh Todoschak 's declaration for 2024 and found out that the rector keeps $30,000 in cash. His wife Olena has UAH 100,000 in cash and USD 30,000. In addition, Oleh Todoschak indicated funds on accounts in several banks. He has UAH 721 in his PrivatBank account and UAH 85,599 in his Pivdenny Bank account. Oleh Todoschak 's wife also has accounts in these banks: she has UAH 20,767 on her account in Pivdennyi Bank and UAH 11,886 in PrivatBank.

According to the declaration, the rector's wife has owned a Toyota Rav4 (made in 2014) worth UAH 579 thousand since 2014. Since 2017, Rector Todoschak himself has owned a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 150 (made in 2013) with a value of UAH 507 thousand. Six months after the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, in August 2022, Olena Todoschak bought a Land Cruiser 200 (made in 2016).

Earlier, the Center for Public Investigations investigated the declarations of the rectors of the ten highest-rated Odesa universities. It found that rectors with higher incomes do not always head universities that are ranked higher in the Osvita.ua ranking.
