As of July 11, tram route No. 10 has fully resumed service in Odessa. For the first time since last December, trams are once again running from Yitzhak Rabin Street to Tiraspol Square.
This was reported by the municipal enterprise “Odessmiskelektrotrans.”
From now on, tram No. 10 is operating on its usual route—from Yitzhak Rabin Street to Tiraspol Square via Starosinnaya Square in both directions.
On weekdays, eight trams will be in service on the route, running every 10–11 minutes. On weekends, six trams will run every 14 minutes.
According to Petro Obukhov, a member of the Odessa City Council, the restoration of the route marks another step toward the full launch of the city’s electric transit network.
He added that Odessa also plans to resume service on trolleybus route No. 8 as early as next week. The city is gradually restoring routes that had to be suspended due to power supply issues.
As a reminder, electric transit in Odessa came to a complete halt on December 13, 2025, following one of the most massive attacks by the Russian army on the energy infrastructure.
Due to damage to the power grid, all traction substations of the municipal enterprise “Odesmiskelektrotrans”—which power trams and trolleybuses—were left without power.
In response to the situation, other Ukrainian cities sent buses to Odesa tosupport public transportation. At the time, the mayors of Lviv,Andriy Sadovyi, and Mykolaiv,Oleksandr Senkevych, announced their support.
Subsequently, other regions joined this initiative: in late February, the city received eight more buses from the Kyiv region to expand its route network.
Once the situation stabilized, trolleybus and tram routes began to be restored gradually.
In particular, on April 2, Odesa’s longest tram route, No. 7 “North–South,” which connects the city’s outlying districts, resumed service.
