Odesa shopping mall comments on video of man's brutal detention

Odesa law enforcement officers called the video of the alleged incident with the mobilization group discreditable. During a routine inspection, one citizen tried to escape, and several people resisted.

This was reported by the press service of the Odesa Regional TCC and JV.

According to the press service, a video distorting the events of August 13 in the Prymorskyi district of Odesa is being circulated on social media. The material is intended to discredit the activities of the Armed Forces and disrupt mobilization activities.

According to official information, a joint alert group of the Prymorskyi RTC and JV together with representatives of the National Police conducted a routine walk-through of the district and checked military registration documents.

During the event, one of the citizens behaved aggressively and tried to escape by car. Law enforcement officers stopped him on the territory of the service station and found out that the man was wanted for violating the legislation on military registration. When checking the documents of the service station employees, they also found several wanted persons.

Several aggressive civilians resisted the group's legitimate activities using physical force. The fact of resistance was documented, and the materials on the offenders were transferred to the SBU for legal assessment in accordance with Art. 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Law enforcement officers emphasized that obstructing the activities of the Armed Forces and other military formations in wartime is a serious crime. Citizens were urged to check information, not to trust dubious sources and not to become an instrument of information warfare against Ukraine.

Recently, the Odesa Regional CTRC and JV commented on a video about an incident in Zelenohirske village, Podil district. The alert group of the RCCC and JV together with representatives of the National Police stopped a vehicle to check military registration documents, and the Oberig database confirmed that the citizen was wanted for violating the rules of military registration. The citizen resisted, and the police and military used physical force.
