A few months later, a new draft law No. 13367 on protecting the population from infectious diseases appeared on the website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Therefore, Accent decided to talk about vaccinations and remind parents who are preparing their children for educational institutions about the mandatory points.

As stated in the document, children who have not received mandatory medical vaccinations according to the medical calendar will not be able to attend educational institutions. The only exception is if there are medical contraindications to vaccinations.

According to Liliya Sologub, a pediatrician at Odrex Medical House, vaccination is aimed at controlling a number of diseases that can threaten epidemics.

"We are afraid, first of all, of complications from these diseases. Also, children pose a threat to those for whom vaccinations are contraindicated, because the risk of disease in such children increases," the doctor explained.

Currently, a new vaccination calendar has been prepared in Ukraine, which will be effective from the beginning of 2026.
