Odesa regional council hides some of the chairman's orders from deputies

Deputies of the Odesa Regional Council see only 50% of the orders of the council chairman , Hryhoriy Didenko.

As Yulia Chukhalo, a deputy of the European Solidarity party, noted on the air of Intent.Insight, the council has recently developed a tradition of completely ignoring all norms and legislation.

"According to the law, as well as the regulations of the regional council, the chairman's orders should simply be sent to the deputies for review. However, we do not see them," said the deputy.

According to her, they started publishing resolutions on the regional council's website only after the prosecutor's office intervened.

"A year ago, the prosecutor's office opened criminal proceedings against Hryhoriy Didenko, the head of the Odesa Regional Council, for the lack of resolutions on the website. So they started publishing partially, but it's also not all decisions, but about 50% of the information," Chukhalo added.

Indeed, the last resolution on the regional council' s website was published on August 22 under the number 510, the previous one was number 484. That is, 26 resolutions were not published in two weeks.

At the last session of the Odesa Regional Council, which took place on September 6, the deputies adopted 20 draft decisions with almost no discussion. In particular, the deputies approved the report of the Odesa Regional State (Military) Administration on the implementation of the Odesa Region Development Strategy for 2021-2023, amended the List of Jointly Owned Objects of Territorial Communities of Villages, Towns, and Cities of the Region, and granted permission for special use of natural resources (fishing) within theTiligulskyi Regional Landscape Park in 2024 to five private enterprises.

Before that, at the session on June 21, the regional council deputies adopted about 40 decisions and several appeals to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the President of Ukraine, and the Verkhovna Rada, including one on booking security company employees. By the way, Serhiy Cherviakov introduced the draft decision for consideration by voice vote . The document provided for to book up to 100% of security company employees. However, Oleksandr Akhmerov made a proposal to reduce their number to 50% of employees.
