Odesa region is the leader in the South of Ukraine in terms of the number of registered electric cars

Last year, residents of Odesa region registered 3,70 electric cars in the region's service centers, which exceeds the figure of 1,37 registered cars in 2023.

This was reported by the regional service center of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.

As for the other two regions, while in Mykolaiv region the number of new owners of electric cars in 2024 exceeded that in 2023 - 756 and 454 electric cars, respectively, in Kherson region, on the contrary, fewer new electric cars were registered in 2024 than in 2023 - 59 vs. 62.

TOP-5 electric vehicles registered for the first time in the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Odesa region:

Battery-powered cars are easily recognizable on the roads by their green license plates, which are issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs service centers during registration. They are also distinguished by their quiet running sound, as the engine does not generate as much noise as an internal combustion engine.

In 2024, Odesa region remained in third place in terms of the number of electric cars sold in Ukraine. The first place was taken by Lviv region with 2,808 cars with electric motors (13.5%), and the second by Kyiv, where 2,723 electric cars were sold. As for the other southern regions, 313 electric cars have been sold in Mykolaiv region since the beginning of the year, and 68 in Kherson region.

In 2023, Odesa region also ranked third in terms of the number of electric vehicles registered in the region, behind only Lviv and Kyiv.

Odesa region is also among the top five regions of Ukraine where mass founders most often register companies.
