Odesa Region Faces Systematic Russian Attacks: Over 270 Port Damages

The ports of Odesa region have been systematically targeted by the Russian Federation since 2022, and during this period, the Russians have caused more than 270 damages to port infrastructure.

The head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, said this on the air of the United News marathon.

According to him, the last strike on the port of Odesa on March 11 was launched by a ballistic missile with a cluster warhead.

"This is a systematic destruction of port infrastructure in order to hinder our economy. For the Russians, it is essential to prevent Ukraine from trading," noted Oleg Kiper.

A ballistic missile fired by the Russians at Odesa on the evening of March 11 damaged the Barbados-flagged MJ Pina and killed four Syrian citizens. The youngest victim was 18, the oldest was 24. Two more people were injured - a Ukrainian and a Syrian. At the time of the attack, the ship was loading wheat for export to Algeria. Another vessel, berths, and grain storage facilities were also damaged.

On the night of March 12, 2025, the enemy fired three Iskander-M ballistic missiles from Crimea at Odesa and Kryvyi Rih, and attacked with 133 Shahed-type attack UAVs and various types of imitation drones. According to preliminary data, as of 9:30 a.m., 98 Shahed attack UAVs and other types of drones were confirmed downed. 20 enemy imitator drones were locally lost (without negative consequences).

The night before, an air attack on Odesa by Russian troops on the night of March 11 resulted in the burning of a children's toy warehouse, a residential building, and a fuel tank. The area of the fires in the city amounted to 2,780 square meters.

On the night of March 11, 2025 (from 19.00 on March 10), the enemy attacked with an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 126 Shahed-type attack UAVs and various types of imitation drones.

Iskander-M and 79 Shahed attack drones and other types of drones wereshot down in Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, and Kherson regions. 35 enemy imitator drones were lost in the area.
