Odesa region ranked first among the southern regions of Ukraine in terms of the volume of advertising contracts concluded on the Prozorro.

This was reported by the Dozorro team after analyzing the procurement.

According to analysts, Odesa region spent UAH 6.7 million on local government advertising.

Odesa region outpaced Mykolaiv region, which spent UAH 3.4 million on advertising, and Zaporizhzhia region, where the corresponding expenditures amounted to UAH 1.5 million.

As for Kherson region, the total volume of concluded contracts for advertising in the public procurement system amounted to UAH 561 thousand.

State-owned banks registered in Kyiv and the region accounted for 61% of the total procurement value, which amounted to UAH 177 million. Odesa region is also ahead of such regions as Poltava (UAH 6.1 million) and Cherkasy (UAH 4.6 million).

Odesa plans to cut the amount of outdoor advertising by almost half. To this end, a new plan has been created that includes updated schemes for the placement of advertising media.

According to Gennadiy Trukhanov, after discussions with the owners of the advertising media, agreements were reached to reduce the number of structures. It is also planned to replace the existing media with more modern ones that will better match the city's appearance.

The head of the advertising department, Ihor Slyusarenko, said that the changes will start with Pushkinska (now Italiiska) Street.

Meanwhile, the Center for Public Investigations has analyzed the expenditures of budgetary institutions to identify inappropriate spending during the war. In the first half of 2024, budgetary institutions and organizations in Odesa region conducted public procurement for more than UAH 22 billion.
