Odesa Officials' Salaries Surge in 2024: Bonuses Reach ₴500K

Declarations of Odesa municipality officials show that their salaries increased in 2024, and Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov was no exception.

However, the income of officials in office is not only a salary, so the Center for Public Investigations has established which officials of the municipality and the Odesa Military Administration received almost half a million in bonuses.

Valeriy Silin received the highest annual income among Odesa city council officials and some officials of the regional state administration. He received UAH 887.4 thousand in total, including additional payments and bonuses. It should be added that in 2023, his salary amounted to UAH 457.9 thousand, and this is without tax deductions. Hennadiy Trukhanov earned UAH 883.1 thousand for the year. At the same time, in 2023, the head of Odesa was paid 3.8 times less - UAH 293.1 thousand.

Last year, Ihor Koval received UAH 863.2 thousand. At the same time, his salary in 2023 was also lower - UAH 654.2 thousand. Last year, Vice Mayor Oleksandr Filatov 's salary also increased - he received UAH 826.6 thousand, which is twice as much as his income in 2023, when he earned about UAH 456.6 thousand.

Pavlo Vuhelman received 787.6 thousand hryvnias against the accrued 559 thousand in 2023, and Hanna Pozdniakova received only 420.9 thousand hryvnias. At the same time, in 2023, when Pozdnyakova was in charge of the Odesa City Heat Supply Utility, she received UAH 634.9 thousand.

During 2024, city council officials received monthly bonuses, and in December, almost all of them also received one-time bonuses or bonuses for annual evaluation.

The highest bonus of 524.7 thousand hryvnias for the year was again received by Deputy Mayor Valeriy Silin. His colleague Oleksandr Filatov received a little less - 510.8 thousand hryvnias.

Ihor Koval was awarded UAH 489,900, and Pavlo Vugelman received UAH 437,800. Odesa Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov received a monthly bonus that amounted to UAH 424,900 for the year. However, he did not receive the December lump sum.

Hanna Pozdnyakova, who started receiving bonuses in July, collected UAH 217.5 thousand in six months and received an additional UAH 22.2 thousand in December.
