An unidentified man, who claimed to be a church security guard, tried to prohibit the Dumskaya journalists from filming.

According to the editorial office, the incident occurred near St. Elijah's Monastery on Italiiska Street.

The correspondent came to the place to talk to people about Halloween and their attitude to it. However, a person who introduced himself as a local security guard tried to kick the journalist out and prohibit filming, arguing that "well, it's a church." The editorial office also emphasized that the correspondent did not try to enter the monastery itself, but stood on the street next to it.

"Apparently, representatives of the monastery believe that the sidewalk is the land of the temple, and therefore, only those who they like can walk or stand there," the journalists commented.

In July, the Chornomorsk City Court of Odesa Region convicted one of the attackers of the editor of Alternative. ORG editor Roman Varshanidze and the publication's cameraman Andriy Boychik to one year in a correctional center. At the trial, the victims said that they had come to film a meeting with a candidate, and when they were ready to work and went to the meeting place, they were approached by two strangers, and then another man. These people began to forbid the journalists to go to the meeting. The third stranger was particularly aggressive and punched the journalist in the face when he tried to protect the cameraman and the camera.

In June 2023, journalists from the Dumskaya media outlet were not allowed to enter the administrative building where a session of the Odesa Regional Council was held on June 23. At the time, the head of the European Solidarity faction, Mykhailo Shmushkovych, said that journalists were not allowed into the session hall. To which the head of the regional council , Hryhoriy Didenko, replied "there is no such media outlet as Dumskaya".
