Odesa Infectious Diseases Hospital Awards ₴7.8M Catering Tender to Fabrika Smaku

Odesa City Infectious Diseases Hospital has held a tender to select a company that will be paid to provide catering services to patients - Fabrika Smaku Limited Liability Company is waiting for the contract to be signed.

The relevant information was published in the Prozorro electronic procurement system.

The procurement was conducted in the format of open bidding with the peculiarity that the company had no competitors. If the deal is concluded by the end of the year, the company will have to provide the hospital with the

• 15 thousand 92 sets of meals for adults (gastronomic table with milk) - a set of four meals per person per day.
• 4 thousand 615 sets of meals for adults (gastronomic table without milk) - a set of four meals per day for one person.
• 25 sets of grinded food for adults (gastronomic table without milk) - a set of four meals per day for one person.
• 3 thousand 686 meals for children aged 3 to 10 years (gastronomic table without milk) - a set of four meals per day for one person.
• 1 thousand 868 meals for children aged 11 to 18 years (gastronomic table without milk) - a set of four meals per day for one person.

The total amount the company expects to spend is UAH 7 million 809.4 thousand. According to the YouControl service, Fabrika Smaku was registered in May 2015 with a registered capital of UAH 1 thousand, and two months later it received an order for food for hospitals in Odesa. The director and owner of the company is Igor Levinzon.

In December 2023, Nikcenter reported that Odesa medical institutions sometimes pay twice as much for food as in other cities. And the "fake" competitors of the "Fabrika Smaku" in tenders allegedly turned out to be its employees.

In September 2022, the Center for Public Investigations analyzed the composition of companies participating in tenders for the right to feed Odesa schoolchildren and identified the main players in this market in Odesa. The experts identified Fabrika Smaku LLC as one of the leaders.
