The Healthcare Commission of the Odesa City Council held a meeting to consider important issues related to the city's healthcare sector.

This became known during the meeting.

Oleksiy Yeremytsia, Chairman of the Commission, said that there were two issues on the agenda: amendments to the City Target Program "Health" for 2024-2026 and discussion of other relevant topics.

Levon Nikoghosyan, a member of the commission and director of the Health Department of the Odesa City Council, raised the issue of the need for additional funding for the cardiology department of the 11th City Hospital. He asked the Finance Department and the Budget Commission to allocate funds from the deputy fund to purchase the necessary medical equipment.

Final decisions on these issues are to be made at a session of the Odesa City Council.

In Odesa, the healthcare commission supported the change of status of the Borys Reznik Children's Diagnostic Center. This was done in order to officially expand the list of medical services already provided by the medical institution.

Earlier, Intent wrote that a city Hearing Center will soon appear in Odesa, which will operate on the basis of the Reznik Center. The new center will work for both children and adults, including military personnel who have lost their hearing due to injury. The Center already has equipment for children's examination, but additional equipment for adult patients is planned. The main goal is to create a single space that will replace the scattered offices in other medical facilities in the city, such as the 3rd Hospital, 11th Hospital and the Children's Polyclinic.

Recently, the Standing Committee on Territory Development Planning, Urban Design, Architecture and Protection of Cultural Heritage of the Odesa City Council approved plans to allocate 35 million for renovation work at the city' s infectious diseases hospital.
