The Odesa International Film Festival, which will become the 17th in 2026, has opened the call for applications for participation in the Film Industry Office pitchings.
This was reported by the OIFF press service.
The creators of feature films, documentaries and animated films that are at the Development and Work in Progress stages are invited to participate in the presentations.
Project selection criteria:
Applications will be accepted until July 1 without any restrictions on age, physical ability, race, gender, religion, sexual orientation.
A pitch is a short verbal (sometimes visual) presentation of a film idea, a kind of presentation. A pitch is created by a screenwriter or director for a producer or studio representative in order to obtain funding for a film. Pitches are usually made in person, although sometimes they can be made over the phone or via video.
The winning project of the Development presentation, determined by the jury according to the criteria of quality, artistic value and potential (national or international), receives a cash prize of 80 thousand UAH from Kyivstar TV.

Since the Film Industry Office section was established as a platform for professional communication, support and development of Ukrainian film projects and the film industry as a whole, as well as for the presentation of the Ukrainian film industry to the international community, projects submitted for participation in the pitchings of the Film Industry Office industry program of the 17th OIFF must be Ukrainian or co-produced with Ukraine.
This year's festival will take place from August 27 to September 4, and will be held in Kyiv for the third time. The competition programs of the Odesa International Film Festival will include the National Competition Program and the International Competition Program. There will be Pitchings within the Film Industry Office section, as well as non-competitive special screening programs.
