The Kyiv District Court of Odesa sentenced the head of a farm from the village of Kirovo, Nemyriv district, Vinnytsia region, to three years in prison.

As the judges noted in the verdict, being liable for military service and, according to the certificate of the military medical commission, medically fit for military service and having no legal grounds for postponement of military service during mobilization, he received a call-up, but did not come to the territorial center for recruitment and social support.

So in August 2024, he was detained and notified of suspicion of evading military service during mobilization. At the court hearing, the accused did not admit his guilt, did not admit to committing the criminal offense charged against him and explained that no one had served him with a call on July 10, 2024. Prior to that, he had come to the MCC to update his military records and was sent for a military qualification examination, which he passed and personally brought the conclusion of the MQE to the MCC, where he was given something to sign and wanted to be sent for a MQE again. On August 10, 2024, he was not taken to the MCC by the police, he came himself, because police officers came to him and told him that he needed to come to the MCC. He did not sign anything - he refused. He was offered to stand at the gate at the TCC, but it made no sense, because he works and provides assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

He also explained that he refused the summons because he is the current head of a farm, has 700 beehives that need to be put somewhere, and lives alone. He is diagnosed with astigmatism, so he will not be able to shoot. However, the court sided with the TCC and convicted the farmer.
