The Constructive News Agency, together with the Odesa Regional Bar Association, has prepared a rating of the effectiveness of the District Administrative Courts of Ukraine for 2024.

Odesa District Administrative Court took the fourth place in the rating.

According to the researchers, the court handles the largest volume of cases among the top five and has a very high rate of cases per judge, which indicates the intensive work of the judicial apparatus.

Number of cases received per year: 46 thousand 609 (2nd place), the number of cases considered in court during the year reached 45 thousand 257 (2nd place), the number of cases considered per judge amounted to 1 thousand 616 (2nd place). However, the number of pending cases per judge - 402 (21st place), as well as the number of cases pending for more than a year per judge - 14 (17th place) prevented the court from taking the second place.

The first place in this rating was taken by Volyn District Administrative Court, which demonstrated high efficiency. The second place went to Dnipropetrovs'k District Administrative Court. The Khmelnytskyi District Administrative Court took the third place, and the Kharkiv District Administrative Court the fifth.

Mykolaiv District Administrative Court was ranked 15th.

In February, analysts of the ElitExpert agency compiled a rating of the most famous judges in Odesa region. They selected not so much influential judges as those whose activities were the most visible and discussed in the professional and public space. The ranking was headed by Oleksandr Garskyi, a judge of the Malynovskyi District Court, known for his sentences in which he sentenced defendants to read books and watch movies for 40 years. For example, in January 2022, Oleksandr Garskyi found a 35-year-old man guilty of inflicting light bodily harm and recommended that he be kinder and read the novel Pollyanna by American writer Eleanor Porter.
