My City, a non-governmental organization that provides opportunities for implementing socially useful initiatives through crowdfunding and training, based in Odesa, has celebrated its 10th anniversary.

Over the years, the organization has raised more than UAH 33.5 million by implementing 218 social projects.

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the organization launched a jubilee fundraiser to raise UAH 100,000 for the development and support of the My City platform. The funds will be used for technical support and promotion of the platform.

"We are changing not only spaces, but also the approach to charity. We show that every contribution - even five hryvnias - brings important changes closer. And if the collection is successful, it means that the project is really needed. And to move forward, we need a solid foundation. Because without a high-quality, technically reliable, user-friendly platform, even the most necessary project will find it difficult to raise donations transparently. And without donors, no big or small dream will come true," the organization said.

Crowdfunding, public funding, or crowdsourcing is a collaboration of people who voluntarily pool their money or other resources together, usually via the Internet, to support the efforts of other people or organizations. Crowdfunding can serve a variety of purposes, including helping victims of natural disasters, support from fans or supporters, supporting political campaigns, funding startup companies and small businesses, and creating free software.

The organization's implemented projects include the Motus Physical Therapy Center, which helps people after injuries and strokes, works with children with cerebral palsy and the military. The platform managed to raise UAH 830,755 for high-quality equipment. Ceramic workshops "Everyone Matters" for people with autism raised UAH 108,252.

Thanks to a project to equip a shelter in the village of Shabo and the support of international partners, Crossroads of Cultures raised UAH 877,449. Students were able to study offline and feel safe.
