Occupiers in the Kherson region are looking for people who water their vegetable gardens

In the steppe communities of the Henichesk District in the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region, Russian occupiers have formed “monitoring” brigades made up of local residents, who conduct raids and search for people watering their vegetable gardens.

This was reported by journalist Oleg Baturin.

According to him, the most recent raids have led to loud arguments and shouting. The occupying “inspectors” consider even watering vegetable gardens to be a violation.

At the same time, the water supply situation in the steppe communities remains critical. According to the journalist, most settlements have no electricity, communication, or water.

Despite this, the occupying authorities are urging local residents to stockpile water. People do not understand how to do this in the absence of a water supply.

Earlier, the occupiers announced a three-day water shutdown in Kerch.

In addition,Eskender Bariev, chairman of the board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center and a human rights activist, spoke during the 19th session of the UN Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (EMRIP) and accused Russiaof ecocide, citing the loss of more than 18 cubic kilometers of fresh water, the destruction of dozens of natural ecosystems, and the de facto destruction of the hydraulic system that supplied water to the North Crimean Canal.

In addition, Vladimir Saldo, the “Gauleiter” of the occupation administration in the Kherson region, announced the acceleration of the transfer of so-called “ownerless” property to “municipal” ownership in the temporarily occupied territory of the region.
