In the temporarily occupied Crimea, the agricultural sector is in a deep crisis. To address this crisis, the occupying administration is drawing funds from local and Russian federal budgets.

This was reported by Golos Kryma.

The publication quotes the so-called Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea, Denis Kratyuk, who noted that the Russian government has announced the allocation of more than 670 million rubles to 21 regions, including the temporarily occupied Crimea.

He also stated that financial aid for agriculture is distributed across three main areas.

“The first is the support that is traditionally allocated in Crimea—2.8 billion rubles distributed more or less proportionally across all sectors. Of course, viticulture, horticulture, and livestock farming predominate. The second form of support is the all-Russian program currently under discussion… The third form of support, which is currently being actively developed—and for which the amounts and areas of focus have, in principle, been determined—is due to our declaration of a man-made state of emergency,” the occupation official explained.

Denis Kratyuk also reported that the so-called Ministry of Agriculture is planning certain measures for 2027. He said that logistics, storage, and crop selection will be reviewed. He also noted that a new form of support for the development of energy efficiency may be introduced.

Earlier, Denis Kratyuk reported on the illegal harvest of over 1.7 million metric tons of grain in occupied Crimea. However, he also acknowledged that a large portion of the grain was at risk, as demand for grain turned out to be low. This affected prices, which turned out to be very low and unprofitable for farmers.
