Occupants shelled residential areas of Kherson region: two civilians wounded

On October 20, Kherson, Komyshany, Bilozerka, Stanislav, Chervonyi Mayak, Beryslav, Novovorontsovka, Zmiivka, Zelenivka, Shyroka Balka, Novokaira, Stepanivka, Zymivnyk, Rozlyv, Dudchany, Sadove, Antonivka, Romashkove, and Kozatske came under enemy fire and air strikes by the Russian occupation army in Kherson region. Ukraine's Air Defense Forces destroyed one Shahed-131/136 attack drone over the territory of Kherson region

The official said that during the shelling of the region, the occupiers hit residential areas of the region's settlements, in particular, two high-rise buildings and 23 private houses were damaged. The occupiers also damaged an outbuilding and private cars. Thus, at about 16:30, Russian occupation forces fired artillery at Zmiivka. One of the shells hit a residential building. It was completely destroyed. Another private house was damaged.

The official added that two civilians were injured as a result of Russian aggression in the region.

Around one in the morning, the Russian army attacked Kherson. Two men born in 1975 and 1957 were injured. They were hospitalized with explosive injuries and contusions. One of the victims received a shrapnel wound to his forearm. Doctors provided the men with the necessary assistance. They will undergo further treatment on an outpatient basis. In the morning, a resident of Beryslav, who had been hit by an enemy drone, turned to the hospital. The 32-year-old man suffered blast trauma and contusion. Doctors are providing him with the necessary assistance.

Earlier it was reported that on October 17, during the shelling of the right-bank part of the Kherson region, Russian occupants hit a coffee shop and a commercial establishment; residential areas of the region's settlements, including a high-rise building and two private houses. The occupiers also damaged a gas pipeline, an outbuilding, and private cars.

It was also reported that on October 16, the occupiers used artillery, tanks and drones, including FPV. As of 17:00 on that day, two people were also reported injured as a result of shelling. Thus, in Kherson at 10:00 a 56-year-old man was hospitalized in a moderate condition. He was injured due to the explosion of a shell dropped by Russians from a drone. In the village of Zmiivka, Beryslav district, around 13:00, a 55-year-old woman was wounded under similar circumstances. Medics treated her on the spot.
