Occupants "restart" the stolen plant to meet their standards

On the temporarily occupied left bank of the Kherson region, the Russian occupation authorities have announced the launch of carbonated beverage production.

This was announced by the so-called governor of the region, Volodymyr Saldo.

According to him, the project is being implemented at the expense of the Industrial Development Fund, which provided a soft loan. The occupiers have already purchased Russian-made equipment and plan to establish a full production cycle, from water purification to bottling and labeling of products according to Russian standards.

At the same time, this is an enterprise that previously belonged to Ukrainian business. Back in April 2024, the occupation authorities illegally "re-registered" the Kakhovka trademark under which the beverages were produced in the Kherson region.

Today, this brand is formally registered to Kherson Beverages No. 1 LLC, which is actually the seized Kakhovka enterprise of Troika LLC, which was re-registered under Russian law.

Since the occupation in 2022, the company has been repeatedly transferred to the control of various representatives of the occupation administration. Initially, it was managed by Yevhen Orlov, an associate of the pseudo-head of the "DPR" Pavel Gubarev. Later, after a conflict with representatives of the Russian special services, he was removed.

Subsequently, the property complex was transferred to the newly created Nordstell structure, headed by Kakhovka resident Borys Zanahadinov.

Thus, the occupation authorities are trying to resume production on the basis of the seized Ukrainian enterprise, integrating it into the Russian economic system.

As Intent previously wrote, Volodymyr Saldo, who already has a sentence for high treason, was served with a new suspicion. Along with him, 11 other people associated with the activities of an illegal armed group in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region were suspected.

Last year, in July, the court found Volodymyr Saldo guilty for the second time and added another sentence to the previous one, according to which the collaborator will receive 15 years in prison for organizing a fake referendum on the accession of Kherson region to Russia. In addition to imprisonment, the convict will lose all his personal property and will not be able to hold leadership positions for 15 years.
