A nurse at a Kherson hospital passed on to the Russians information about military personnel who were being treated in the hospital.

According to the Prosecutor General's Office, the woman was sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property for leaking information about the Defense Forces.

In court, prosecutors proved that after the liberation of Kherson, the nurse continued to keep in touch with representatives of the Russian Federation. While working in one of the city's hospitals, the woman used a messenger to pass important information about Ukrainian soldiers undergoing treatment to her friend, an FSB representative. She also provided information about the location and movement of equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The agency is convinced that the data the nurse passed on was used by the occupation forces to launch rocket and artillery strikes on Kherson.

The woman will remain in custody until the verdict comes into force.

Intent has already written that during the occupation, a resident of Kherson region agreed to head a local hospital in Oleshky and forced other doctors to support Russia. Law enforcement officers managed to collect evidence, and the court announced the verdict and sentenced him to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property, as well as a 15-year ban on holding public and managerial positions.

Recently, a woman who headed the seized Bilozersk hospital and re-registered it under Russian law was sentenced to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.

Investigators also served a notice of suspicion to the "head" of the medical institution, who organized medical care for the Russian military in Kherson during the occupation. In particular, in June 2022, the 57-year-old suspect collaborated with the enemy and took the position of "acting chief physician" of the occupation institution "State Budgetary Institution "Territorial Medical Association of the Ministry of Internal Affairs".
