New water tariffs adopted in Izmail

Tariffs for centralized water supply and sewerage in Izmail, Odesa region, will increase from June 1, 2025.

The corresponding decision No. 431 of May 28 was adopted by the executive committee of the Izmail City Council, Intent reports.

The Izmail Production Department of Water Supply and Sewerage Services, a utility company, had warned the city residents a week earlier about its intention to change the tariffs.

The new prices look like this:

The Vodokanal explained the increase in service prices by the rise in electricity and consumables prices and an increase in salaries. The decision also states that the company must provide consumers with updated information and take into account the position of the community. The last time water tariffs in Izmail were revised was a year ago - the new prices were effective from June 2024.

Earlier, during the episode of Intent.Insight, Serhiy Chaban, Head of the Information Center of Infoksvodokanal. He said that after the end of martial law, it is planned to increase the water tariff from the current UAH 35 to UAH 55.44 per cubic meter. According to him, the new tariff is economically justified and covers the company's expenses, but this figure is not yet final.
