Natalia Soinikova, who previously served as deputy head of the Odessa City Council’s Department of Internal Policy, has been appointed director of the department.

The corresponding order was issued by Odessa’s acting mayor, Ihor Koval , and published by the city council’s press office.

Natalia Soinikova was also in charge of the youth policy department. Her supervisor, Oleksandr Zhiltsov, was fired after he submitted a letter of resignation.

The wave of dismissals and appointments that began after Odessa Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov was stripped of his citizenship and powers has continued, and last week three heads were appointed to city departments.

Specifically, Oleksiy Murin was appointed head of the Odessa City Council’s Department of Physical Culture and Sports. He had long served as the department’s deputy head, organizing mass marathons and sporting events.

Valeriy Serbin, the former deputy director of the Hub Veteran Service Office, was appointed to serve as acting director of the municipal institution. This is because its head, Volodymyr Yermakov, was transferred from this position to lead the new Department for Veterans Affairs, which was established within the Odesa City Council.

In addition, the acting mayor of Odesa, Ihor Koval, dismissed Volodymyr Khytrenko, director of the Department of Transportation, Communications, and Traffic Organization. Serhiy Shcherban, head of the Department for Road Safety and Parking Control, was appointed to this position.

Serhiy Kondratyuk was dismissed from his post as head of the Peresypskyi District Administration of Odesa. His position was handed over to his first deputy, Svyatoslav Glazanovsky. Mr. Kondratyuk had been appointed to the post in July 2018.

Following that, the interim mayor, Ihor Koval, introduced Yuriy Kushchenko as the new head of the Peresypskyi District Administration.
