The head of the Servant of the People faction in the Odesa City Council, Vadym Morokhovskyi, was searched by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).

This was reported by local journalist Iryna Hryb. She also noted that the search may be related to the investigation into the head of the Odesa Regional Council, Hryhoriy Didenko.

The Center for Public Investigations asked NABU for a comment and received a response.

"We can neither deny nor confirm this information," the NABU press service replied.

The CPR also asked Odesa MP Vadym Morokhovsky about the searches and is currently waiting for a response.

Recently, NABU conducted searches at the residences of Hryhoriy Didenko, head of the Odesa Regional Council, and his advisor Lilia Tomashevska. The anti-corruption officers also visited one of the regional council members. The reason was suspicions of corruption schemes related to the restoration of the Odesa Regional Medical and Physical Therapy Dispensary.

Earlier, the Center for Public Investigations, together with experts from the all-Ukrainian public campaign "Certification of Local Council Deputies," analyzed the declarations of 55 deputies of the Odesa City Council for 2022 and found that Vadym Morokhovskyi 's income for this period amounted to UAH 52.8 million. Of this amount, 43.8 million was the salary of the deputy as the chairman of the board of Bank Vostok PJSC.

It also became known that Morokhovskyi has two plots of land: 0.1 hectares in Odesa and 9.9 hectares in the village of Velykyi Buyalyk in the Velykyi Buyalytskyi community. The deputy's wife co-owns 0.07 hectares of land in Montenegro and 1.6 hectares in the village of Tairove, Tairove community.
