Mykolaiv is looking for a contractor to reconstruct the water supply network from Chkalova Street to Tsentralnyi Avenue.

According to the Center for Public Investigations, this became known from an announcement published on the public procurement website Prozorro.

The city utility Mykolaiv Vodokanal announced an open tender for the reconstruction of the water supply network from Chkalova Street to the booster pumping station in the 72nd microdistrict to Tsentralnyi Avenue. The client will accept requests for clarifications and appeals of the procurement terms until June 29, and offers until July 2. The auction will start on July 3. The expected cost of the works is UAH 5.7 million. The contractor must complete the work by September 30, 2025.

On May 29, members of the Mykolaiv City Council approved the composition of the supervisory board of Mykolaivvodokanal. This body has been given broad powers, ranging from participating in the selection of management to approving financial plans and approving transactions. The initiators of the decision call the creation of the board an important step in corporate governance reform.

In 2024, Mykolaivvodokanal spent over UAH 500 million on procurement. The most significant expenditures were made for the reconstruction of water supply networks, road repairs, and electricity purchases.

To ensure that the city's roads were not left torn up after the repairs, the company held tenders for road resurfacing. About UAH 36 million was spent on repairing sidewalks and UAH 42 million on laying asphalt concrete.

More than UAH 22 million was also allocated for the reconstruction of the water supply system, UAH 53 million for sewage pumping stations, and UAH 9.7 million for sewers.
