The Central District Court of Mykolaiv has sentenced a 20-year-old local resident who was accused of trafficking in psychotropic substances and precursors.

This was reported by the court's press service.

The girl met a person on the Internet who offered her to sell amphetamine. She agreed and received instructions from her 'curator'. She also stored precursors for the manufacture of drugs. During May-September 2024, the defendant purchased at least 600 grams of amphetamine and sent it by mail to different regions of Ukraine using fictitious data. In particular, the prohibited substances 'traveled' through Odesa, Khmelnytskyi, Lviv, Poltava, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy regions and the city of Kyiv. In court, the girl pleaded guilty, explaining that she was looking for a job and realized that she was dealing with drugs. Before her arrest, she was a fourth-year student at the university. The court sentenced her to 9 years in prison with confiscation of property and ordered her to reimburse the costs of the examination - almost 180 thousand UAH.

A colony director from Mykolaiv region was caught with cannabis in his pocket. He hid it and carried it with him to work. The court fined the official, and the drugs were seized. As the court found, one autumn morning last year, the accused found wild cannabis plants growing on the bank of the Mertvovod River near the food and flavor factory in Voznesensk. He cut off the leaves and inflorescences, took them to his house, where he dried and crushed the drug.

A man with a suitcase of heroin worth a million dollars was detained in Odesa. For a year, police operatives and border guards documented the criminal activity of a group of people who organized the transit of heroin to the European Union through Ukraine. Citizens of other countries, some of whom temporarily reside in Odesa, were involved in drug trafficking. The latter acted as couriers. They were sent coordinates with heroin caches. The received goods were then delivered to European countries.
