A resident of Mykolaiv is accused of forging documents to register a fictitious company, which allowed her to evade taxes. The case is already in court, and the head of the company faces punishment.

This was reported by the press service of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine.

BES detectives have completed an investigation into a resident of Mykolaiv who submitted false documents for company registration.

The suspect registered a company that sold agricultural products, but in fact used the company to evade taxes by creating fictitious tax credits. A fictitious person was hired for a fee to register the company in her name.

It turned out that after the company was registered, the director did not actually fulfill her duties, and all the documentation was drawn up and signed by other people. Currently, the BES detectives are working to identify other persons involved in the scheme in a separate criminal proceeding.

The company's director is suspected of forging documents for state registration of a legal entity, which is a criminal offense under Article 205-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The case has already been referred to court, and the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office is providing procedural guidance.

In early February, in Mykolaiv, a court extended the term of procedural obligations for a fraud suspect who defrauded a company of more than UAH 1.3 million by promising to sell 100 tons of sunflower seeds that he did not have.

At the same time, law enforcement officers uncovered a large-scale underground alcohol production facility in the city, seizing tons of alcohol, counterfeit products, tobacco and production equipment. The investigation is ongoing to identify all persons involved in this activity. In addition, the court seized the apartment of a suspect in illegal mining, which caused more than two million hryvnias in damages to the community.
