Mykolaiv region under massive enemy attack at night: part of the district without electricity

On the night of January 3, Mykolaiv region came under a massive attack. The Russian occupiers hit the critical infrastructure of the region, and there are blackouts.

This was reported by the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Vitaliy Kim.

According to the official, at night the enemy launched a massive attack with a Shahed-131/136 UAV on the critical infrastructure of the region. As a result of the strikes, some settlements in Mykolaiv district were cut off from electricity.

Power engineers have been working since the night to restore power supply. According to preliminary reports, there were no casualties.

In the afternoon, the enemy also attacked the suburbs of Mykolaiv with an attack drone, first a Molniya UAV. The shelling damaged a gas station building and two cars. No people were injured.

In addition, the day before, Russian troops attacked the Kutsurubska community with an FPV drone. There was no information on casualties.

There are also interruptions in the water supply in Mykolaiv, but, according to Kim, they are not related to the shelling.

As the head of the region explained, an emergency situation occurred outside the city. Because of this, water is supplied with reduced pressure. Restoration work is underway and the volume of water will gradually increase. The work is expected to be completed by the end of the day.

The air alert in Mykolaiv region was announced at night on January 3 at 00:30. According to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a group of Russian attack drones was moving towards the region.

The military reported a new group of UAVs headed for Mykolaiv.

Local residents heard the first explosions in the city around 00:37. Later, another series of explosions was heard in Mykolaiv.

In addition, last night, Russian troops struck critical and social infrastructure, as well as residential areas in Kherson region. The shelling damaged three multi-story buildings and three private homes.

According to Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, the occupants destroyed a cell tower, an outbuilding, a kiosk and damaged private cars.

As a result of Russian aggression, two people were killed and two others were injured.
