In Mykolaiv region, a gymnasium principal was found to be making money by renting land belonging to the educational institution.

This was reported by the press service of the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The Bashtanka District Prosecutor's Office filed a lawsuit in the interests of the state to invalidate the agreement on joint activities for the use of state land. The land is worth almost UAH 300,000 and covers 10 hectares. Law enforcement officers demand that the land be returned to its rightful user.

This land plot is in permanent use of the Novofedorivska gymnasium of the Kazankivska village council and is intended for personal subsidiary farming.

According to the investigation, it turned out that in January 2024, the principal of the gymnasium signed a land use agreement with the entrepreneur. However, the agreement concealed the true intentions - the transfer of land for lease, which is illegal, as the gymnasium has no right to lease land. Moreover, the illegal actions changed the purpose of the land - it was used for commercial agricultural production.

The case is currently pending in court, and the process is ongoing.

This is not the only case of land misappropriation. Recently, the Pervomaiskyi Court upheld a lawsuit filed by the District Prosecutor's Office to return 14 hectares of valuable land of the Buzkyi Gard Nature Reserve to the state. The value of the land plots is UAH 148 million.

Law enforcement officers also served a notice of suspicion to the state registrar who re-registered the community's land to third parties. He faces up to three years in prison. Without legal grounds, he registered in the state register the rights to real estate - a land plot in theKoblevo resort area on the Black Sea coast - in the name of unauthorized persons.

Cases of fraud with land plots on the coast are not uncommon. For example, in 2021, the Koblevo Village Council registered land plots near the Black Sea in its name, contrary to a court decision. The 0.99-hectare plot is located in the Rybakivka recreation area. Its value is over eight million hryvnias.
